I needed to make 9 cabinet doors: 4 upper cabinet doors, 1 lower cabinet door, and 4 window seat doors. to save money, i bought a 4 x 8 foot sheet of mdf board from lowe’s for approximately $37.00. we had the employees at lowe’s cut the mdf board into 9 pieces using the measurements we gave them for each cabinet/window seat door.. If adding a mdf center panel, when a painted finish is desired, made the door perform better, than why not make the whole door out of mdf? once a door is painted, assuming a professional paint job, like what you would get from conestoga, 99% of professionals and homeowner could not tell the difference , just by looking at the door..
